The Master of the Game by Sidney Sheldon was loaned to me by a friend, on a lazy hostel-weekend. So impressed was I by his exhilarating style that I read three more of his titles before any other.
His protagonists are mostly high-achieving women, who overcome all obstacles.
So if I could, I would probe why his novels portrayed strong minded women and mild-natured men; and never vice versa.
